Demo at Railway Board meeting in presence of the Railway Minister :  Met the Hon. Minister of State for Railways Thiru.R. VELU on 23.08.05 at his chamber at New Delhi and demonstrated the device in presence of top level Railway officials and Engineers including the Chairman, Railway Board. Hon. Minister has awarded Rs. 5000/- cash in appreciation. In his interview to Daily Telegraph, Culcutta (dt.8.9.2005), the Hon. Minister of State for Railways Thiru. R. Velu has told that "this school girl came up with an idea and we wanted to encourage her. Abdu l Kalam on 23.08.05 on prior appointment at Rastrapathy Bhavan, New Delhi. The Hon. President, keenly watched her presentation. He appreciated very much and told that this is an� excellent idea�. The President presented to her a citation in his own handwriting and also requested her to apply for patent for this project.... more
 

 

 

  International level:    Invited as a special guest to attend World Toilet Summit 2007 - an International Conference and Exhibition on Sanitation and hygiene held at New Delhi between 31.10.2007  and 03.11.2007 organised by The World Toilet Organisation, Singapore, wherein  Scientists and experts from 46 countries participated. (including U.S.A., U.K., Russia, China, Japan, Germany etc) She presented a research paper about her system in the World conference. She perhaps be the youngest person who presented a research paper in a World Conference. The World Toilet summit 2006 held previously at Moscow, Russia. more

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

Travelled extensively throughout India (more than 60,000 Kms) to attend various science Expo's. She has made demo of her project more than 10000 times to 12 lakhs and odd students, scientists and public so far.

Invitation from Colleges and Institutions : Various Science & Engineering colleges have invited her as special guest to explain her device with the college students and professors. Recently she has been invited to present her innovations before the faculty and students of  IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Trivandrum on 01/07/2009. ISST is the first ever space University in Asia runs under the chancellorship of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

The only school student who met the President of India 5 times during the past 4 years � At Rastrapathy Bhavan, New Delhi (23/08/2005), at 93rd Indian Science Congress, Hyderabad(08/01/2006), during his Kayakumari  Visit on Nov 2006, World Toilet Summit, New Delhi(31/10/2007)   and National Innovation Foundation award ceremony at IIM Ahmedabad on 30/11/2009.

She is the youngest student who met the President at Rashtrapathy Bhavan in her personal capacity  along with her family on prior appointment.

Another Global Meet : She has also been invited  to attend the GLOBAL CONVENTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE 2008 organised by the WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL FOUNDATION, London at  Palampur, Himachal Pradesh during May 2007.

Applied for Gunness Record : She perhaps be the youngest person  in the world who presented a paper in  a world conference (at the age of 14). Attempts has been made to register this achievement in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Youngest Special Guest invited to a world Summit : She is also the youngest  person invited to a World conference as SPECIAL GUEST

Honour at UAE  : She  was invited by the Indian Association at Sharjah, U.A.E for an award of honour during January 2007.

Governor's Gesture :  The Governor of Tamil Nadu  has recommended to the Railway Minister  for issue of Life Time Free Rail Pass to her.
